初三復(fù)習(xí)課:My Travel 教案和學(xué)案

Mainly Revision   株洲市第十五中學(xué) 谷紅枚   Topic: Travel The world is like a book. If you stay at home instead of traveling, it means you just stare at one page of a book.   --- Saint Augustine Teaching contents:   This lesson centers on ‘Traveling’. With the development of economic and the improvement of people’s living level, more and more people are interested in traveling and travel becomes a popular topic around the world. And this lesson all the language skills are focused on travel and how to ask the way while traveling .   Teaching goals 1.  Target language a. Adjectives and preposition phrases. b.  Communicational English 2.  Ability goals a. Enable students to express their ideas. b.  Make students to master the main idea of travel , Make the students have basic knowledge to talk about travel and learn how to ask the way and find the right place. 3.  Moral goals Improve the students’ appreciation of truth and beauty. Encourage them to travel to broaden their mind.   Teaching type   Revision lesson    Step1. Lead-in and pre- reading ( using flashcards to show some places of interest.) After greeting, talk about traveling with Ss to arouse their interests towards traveling. Show some beautiful pictures on the flashcard and talk about them. 1.  He who doesn’t reach the Great Wall is not a true man. 2.  The scenery in Gui Lin is the best of all. 3.  The West Lake in the sunset is just like a beauty. 4.  A pine tree is welcoming the guests. 5.  The bird nest of Beijing is one of the most wonderful buildings in the world.   Step 2.  Brainstorm Ask Ss to say as many adjectives as possible to describe their travel or a place. Then using these adjectives to describe a place. Use the way of ask-answer, start with a question: If you have a chance to go traveling, where would you most like to travel? Why?   Step 3:Using adjectives to make sentences longer and longer。 S1:I’d like to visit Beijing. S2:I’d like to visit Beijing because it’s educational. S3:I’d like to visit Beijing because it’s educational and it’s also beautiful. S4: :I’d like to visit Beijing because it’s educational and it’s also beautiful but it’s too touristy. S1: I’d like to visit ______ S2: I’d like to visit______ because it’s ______ S3: I’d like to visit______ because it’s______ and it’s also ______. S4: I’d like to visit ______because it’s ______and it’s also ______ but it’s too ______.   Step4.  Practice   According to the long sentences, Ss try to make and act out the dialogues as follows: Dialogue:( I’d like to visit Beijing because it’s educational and it’s also beautiful but it’s too touristy.) A: Where would you like to visit? B: I’d like to visit Beijing. A: Why? B: Because I like somewhere educational. A: Isn’t it supposed to be too touristy? B: Yes, but it’s also very beautiful.  Ss make their own dialogues and act them out.   Step5. Do a survey Four Ss a group. One is a reporter, interview the other 3 Ss some questions about their travel. Who where why                   Then ask 2 groups to act out their dialogues. Step6. Review how to ask and point ways. If you lose you way while traveling, how to ask ways and find the right place? Review some preposition phrases to help find the right place. Step 7. Find the right place According to the street map, ask and point ways. And act them out. A: Excuse me, could you tell me where the …is? B: Walk along this road, turn left/right at the…crossing. The …is …   Step 8.  Reading Read a short passage about “My travel to Yunnan”. and answer some questions. a. Where would I like to visit? Why did I like to go there? b.  When did I go there? c. Who did I go there with? d.  What’s the name of my hotel?   Step9.  Writing Write a short passage “My travel to ….” according to the questions. 1)Where and when did you go traveling?  2)Why did you choose to go there?  3)Who did you go there with?  4)What did you see and did you do there? 5)Did you have a good time? What’s your feeling??  Step 10.  Homework Finish off the exercise of the paper.
