Teaching Plan for Unit4 Book VIII I.Teaching contents: Unit 4 My Holiday Part B Let’s Learn  Let’s play Task time II.Teaching aims: 1. To be able to master the four-skill verb phrase: bought presents, rowde a boat, saw elephants, went skiing, went ice-skating .. 2. To be able to recognize and read the sentence: What did you do on your holiday? I bought presents. III.Teaching key points and difficult points: 1. Focus on the four verb phrases to master the five past tense form of the general. 2. The difficulty is to master the four words bought, rowed, and saw the pronunciation and spelling. IV.Teaching aids: Word cards,pictures,present and CAI V.Teaching Procedures: Step 1 : Warm up. 1.  Review the irregular past tense of some verbs 2. Let’s chant Step 2:Presentation. 1.  Ask some questions about the chant. What did Zoom do on his holiday? Skied.Skied means went skiing. 2.  Show another picture . Did he go skiing too? No. He went ice-skating. 3.  Ask the students to say the phrases about “went…”as more as possible . 4.  Told the students Zoom went to Canada, also Amy went to a trip. She went to a park, and she took many beautiful pictures there . Let’s have a look together. Rowed a boat. 5.  Show another picture :Amy saw elephants. 6.  Image in the zoo . What did you see? (Animals: pandas, giraffes,…) 7.  Show the third photo about a shop? What did Amy do? She bought presents for her good friend. 8.  Practise with a game. 9.  Listen to the tape. Step 3:Practice. 1.  Listen to the tape. 2.  Let’s play. (Bingo) 3.  Make a survey. 4.  Talk about your holiday. 5.  Finish some listening exercises. Step 4:Consolidation. 1.  What have we learnt today? 2.  Any other questions? VII. Homework: 1.  copy these five praises. 2.Talk about your holiday with your good friend. VIII.Blackboard design: Uni 4 My Holiday   G1  G2  went skiing went ice-skating   go go   rowed a boat  saw elephants row  see bought presents   buy   What did you do on your holiday?   I  went  skiing.
