　　今天我們看到的是2011年考研閱讀英語(一)的第一篇閱讀理解。這里摘取的是第一段。

　　The decision of the New York Philharmonic to hire Alan Gilbert as its next music director has been the talk of the classical-music world ever since the sudden announcement of his appointment in 2009. For the most part, the response has been favorable, to say the least. “Hooray! At last!” wrote Anthony Tommasini, a sober-sided classical-music critic.

　　這里我們很快劃分一下第一句的成分，就能輕松地總結(jié)出第一句的句型結(jié)構(gòu)，然后進行仿寫了。

　　The decision (of the New York Philharmonic) (to hire Alan Gilbert as its next music director) has been the talk of the classical-music world ever since the sudden announcement of his appointment in 2009. For the most part, the response has been favorable, to say the least. “Hooray! At last!” wrote Anthony Tommasini, a sober-sided classical-music critic.

　　【解析】

　　我們很容易看到，同樣是講到成為熱點話題，用到了talk，類似于我們原來接觸過的焦點“attention”或者"focus"等的表達。當(dāng)然，xx has been the talk也基本類似于xx has become the heated topic或者xx has been under heated discussion或者xx has become the public attention或者xx has become the focus of differnet social groups。

　　值得學(xué)習(xí)的是，我們原來寫完這一句就結(jié)束了，后面的時間ever since加上名詞，表達相應(yīng)的時間或者狀態(tài)，可以很好地延展句型，同時也可以將套話和具體事件結(jié)合起來。還有一點需要注意，就是decision后面的兩個修飾，一個是關(guān)于要做某事，一個是關(guān)于decision的發(fā)出者，這些都是使得句子變得相對復(fù)雜的包裝。

　　如果要寫姚明退役這個話題，句子可以先從最簡單的開始練習(xí)。

　　The decision has been the talk of the basketball world.

　　The decision of Yao Ming has been the talk of the basketball world.

　　The decision of Yao Ming to quit NBA has been the talk of the basketball world.

　　The decision of Yao Ming to quit NBA has been the talk of the basketball world ever since the sudden announcement of his leaving last week.
