2016考研英語備考：巧用詞匯包裝
2016考生在備戰(zhàn)考研英語中，阻擋前行道路的一大癥結(jié)就是詞匯應(yīng)用的“貧瘠”，同一個(gè)含義的詞匯，說for example就知道是什么含義，文章中一旦出現(xiàn)as an illustration便一頭霧水。下面都教授就帶各位考生來看看如何巧用詞匯，讓英語水平化蝶成仙。
一、對(duì)于形容詞的包裝
1.形容詞的轉(zhuǎn)折并列：增加語言的思辨色彩和多樣性，使語言更加符合英文的表達(dá)習(xí)慣。
【例1】simple yet effective method 簡(jiǎn)單卻有效的方法
【例2】a simple，direct，pracical yet magically effective method 簡(jiǎn)單、直接、實(shí)用且魔術(shù)般有效的方法
【例3】irrational yet understandable decision 不理性卻可以被理解的決定
【例4】a fair and balanced ，yet undesirable decision 一個(gè)公平公正但卻不受歡迎的決定
2.反復(fù)取非
【例1】History is useful.歷史是有用的
History is useless.歷史不是沒用的
二、具體動(dòng)詞的使用
具體動(dòng)詞在表達(dá)中往往使文章變得更有生氣。請(qǐng)比較
【例1】
（原文）On one side of town there are many antelopes in the hills and alog the roads are yellow wild flowers. On the other side there is the Big Horns and nearly 10000 feet up， Powder River Pass is through them.
（修改）On one side of town ， antelope abounded by fours and fives in the hills ， and yellow wild flowers lined the roads. On the other side rose the Big Horns and nearly 10，000 feet up，Powder River Pass cut through them.
【例2】
（原文）The Summer palace is one of the biggest and oldest parks in China . It is the most beautiful park in Beijing as well .In the park ，there are many famous architectures which make it quite different from other parks.
（修改）Many famous architectural features distingguish the Summer Palace ， one of the biggest and oldest parks in China， different from just any other park.
三、過渡詞銜接
根據(jù)過渡詞所表示的邏輯意義，可分為如下幾類：
表示結(jié)果 thus , so , hence ,consequently , therefore , accordingly , for this reason , as a consequence 表示強(qiáng)調(diào) chiefly , especially , indeed , in fact , certainly , particularly , to be sure ,actually , above all , most important , worse , as a matter of fact 表示遞進(jìn) First...second , in the first place...in the second place , next , also , besides , further more , moreover , in addition , what is more , for one thing..for another 表示結(jié)論 in conclusion , in short , on the whole , finally , to sum up , to conclude , in any event 表示舉例 for example, for instance ,in the case of , as an illustration , such as , say, that is , like
