1引言
作為商務(wù)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)的核心課程,商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)的質(zhì)量和效果已直接關(guān)系到大學(xué)生核心外語(yǔ)技能的培養(yǎng)(王立非等,20xx)。為提升學(xué)生的綜合素質(zhì),許多非英語(yǔ)專業(yè)學(xué)科也已將商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作納入其專業(yè)課程體系,其重要性在教學(xué)中日益顯著。商務(wù)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)源自國(guó)際商務(wù)活動(dòng)對(duì)商務(wù)溝通能力的需要,其教學(xué)的目標(biāo)是使學(xué)生在商務(wù)環(huán)境中能夠用英語(yǔ)有效地進(jìn)行商務(wù)書(shū)面溝通,完成各種商務(wù)交際活動(dòng)(王美玲,20xx)。而傳統(tǒng)的“教師灌輸―學(xué)生被動(dòng)接受”的英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)模式忽略了寫(xiě)作是一個(gè)互動(dòng)的、交際的、認(rèn)知的、真實(shí)的社會(huì)過(guò)程,這無(wú)疑不能有效地指導(dǎo)商務(wù)溝通任務(wù)的完成。
20xx年起,教育部在大學(xué)英語(yǔ)課程教學(xué)要求(修訂本)中強(qiáng)調(diào)要以網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)為支撐進(jìn)行多媒體教學(xué),建立基于課堂和計(jì)算機(jī)的大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)模式。到20xx年,多媒體網(wǎng)絡(luò)外語(yǔ)教學(xué)改革取得了顯著成績(jī),計(jì)算機(jī)輔助外語(yǔ)教學(xué)與科研十分活躍(王立非等,20xx)。計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)在外語(yǔ)教學(xué)中應(yīng)用的其中一種形式是將電子郵件融入英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)中。本文探討運(yùn)用電子郵件進(jìn)行商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作的協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)教學(xué)模式對(duì)學(xué)生商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作能力的影響以及學(xué)生對(duì)這種教學(xué)模式的態(tài)度。
2電子郵件教學(xué)在英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)中的應(yīng)用
電子郵件的核心價(jià)值是用戶利用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)達(dá)到快速便捷地傳遞信息和溝通的目的(牟宜武等,20xx)。隨著全球商務(wù)和互聯(lián)網(wǎng)的發(fā)展,電子郵件已成為國(guó)際商務(wù)溝通最基本最常用的聯(lián)絡(luò)方式(Broadhead & Light,20xx)。在日常商務(wù)交流中,商務(wù)電子郵件的寫(xiě)作占據(jù)著舉足輕重的地位。最近一份調(diào)查(Radicati,20xx) 顯示,20xx年企業(yè)每用戶每天發(fā)送和接收的商務(wù)電子郵件為105封,而到20xx年將高達(dá)125封(見(jiàn)表1)。

綜上所述,本研究融合語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)的社會(huì)文化觀點(diǎn)以及情境學(xué)習(xí)理論,強(qiáng)調(diào)從人際互動(dòng)的角度來(lái)探究基于協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)的電子郵件教學(xué)對(duì)學(xué)生商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作能力的影響。
3 研究設(shè)計(jì)
3.1研究問(wèn)題
。1)將基于協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)的電子郵件教學(xué)融入商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)實(shí)踐中,對(duì)學(xué)生商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作能力有何影響? (2)學(xué)生對(duì)于基于協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)的電子郵件教學(xué)持何種態(tài)度?
3.2研究對(duì)象
本實(shí)驗(yàn)選取廣西某高校的61名二年級(jí)商務(wù)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)學(xué)生作為研究對(duì)象。實(shí)驗(yàn)始于他們?nèi)雽W(xué)后的第四個(gè)學(xué)期。實(shí)驗(yàn)前教學(xué)研究者用全國(guó)國(guó)際商務(wù)英語(yǔ)考試一級(jí)試題對(duì)所有參加實(shí)驗(yàn)的學(xué)生進(jìn)行測(cè)試,并最終篩選出42名成績(jī)處于同一水平的學(xué)生作為實(shí)驗(yàn)對(duì)象。
3.3 研究工具
本研究包括3個(gè)研究工具。第一個(gè)是全國(guó)國(guó)際商務(wù)英語(yǔ)考試一級(jí)試題一份,試卷內(nèi)容包括20道聽(tīng)力題,40道閱讀理解題,一篇中譯英小短文以及一道商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作題,滿分100分。研究者用這份試題對(duì)61名研究對(duì)象進(jìn)行測(cè)試,以確保被試的商務(wù)英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言能力在實(shí)驗(yàn)進(jìn)行之前不存在顯著性差異。第二個(gè)是用于前測(cè)和后測(cè)的商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作試卷兩份。試卷難易程度與全國(guó)國(guó)際商務(wù)英語(yǔ)考試一級(jí)考試中的寫(xiě)作部分相當(dāng),用于了解教學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)前后學(xué)生成績(jī)的變化。第三個(gè)是調(diào)查問(wèn)卷及訪談提綱各一份,用于了解學(xué)生對(duì)基于協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)的電子郵件教學(xué)的看法。問(wèn)卷共發(fā)放了21份,收回21份,其中有效卷為20份。問(wèn)卷采用李克式五點(diǎn)量表(Likert five-point scale)的`形式作答。學(xué)生根據(jù)題意,分別在“非常不同意”到“非常同意”五個(gè)等級(jí)中,評(píng)定與個(gè)人感覺(jué)符合的程度。記分方面,依序以1、2、3、4、5記分。隨后,研究者隨機(jī)抽取了10位同學(xué)進(jìn)行訪談,在征得他們同意之后,研究者對(duì)訪談進(jìn)行了錄音,以便隨后進(jìn)行相關(guān)數(shù)據(jù)分析。
3.4 研究設(shè)計(jì)
實(shí)驗(yàn)始于20xx年春季學(xué)期開(kāi)始后的第二周。在實(shí)驗(yàn)開(kāi)始前,研究者用全國(guó)國(guó)際商務(wù)英語(yǔ)考試一級(jí)試題對(duì)這兩個(gè)班的學(xué)生進(jìn)行了齊性檢驗(yàn)以確保研究對(duì)象是兩個(gè)同質(zhì)的組。實(shí)驗(yàn)班30人,控制班31人。分?jǐn)?shù)分布在距離平均值有1個(gè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)差之內(nèi)的范圍內(nèi)的學(xué)生被納入此次研究。春季學(xué)期開(kāi)始后的第三周,實(shí)驗(yàn)組和控制組的學(xué)生都參加了商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作前測(cè)。在30分鐘內(nèi)學(xué)生要完成一篇不少于100詞的商務(wù)信函的寫(xiě)作。從第四周開(kāi)始研究者對(duì)兩個(gè)班的學(xué)生進(jìn)行長(zhǎng)達(dá)12周的教學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)。兩個(gè)班均由研究者本人授課,每周2學(xué)時(shí)。在控制組,商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作課仍在傳統(tǒng)教室進(jìn)行,并采用傳統(tǒng)的“教師命題→學(xué)生寫(xiě)作→教師批閱→反饋結(jié)果”的授課方式,學(xué)生獨(dú)自完成每一次寫(xiě)作任務(wù)。
此外,實(shí)驗(yàn)組學(xué)生只有了解在協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)氛圍下自己在小組內(nèi)的責(zé)任分工,才能更積極地參與互動(dòng)。因此,教學(xué)研究者把需要學(xué)生協(xié)同完成的任務(wù)以郵件的方式發(fā)送給實(shí)驗(yàn)組的學(xué)生。這些任務(wù)包括:(1)協(xié)同規(guī)劃;(2)初稿寫(xiě)作;(3) 評(píng)價(jià);(4)定稿。通過(guò)把這些任務(wù)發(fā)送給學(xué)生,他們便能明確地知道自己在過(guò)程寫(xiě)作教學(xué)法模式下每個(gè)階段需要完成的具體任務(wù)。每個(gè)寫(xiě)作任務(wù)協(xié)同規(guī)劃初稿階段用兩課時(shí),評(píng)價(jià)及定稿階段用兩課時(shí)。整個(gè)流程見(jiàn)圖1。

3.5數(shù)據(jù)收集與分析
本實(shí)驗(yàn)收集到的數(shù)據(jù)包括所有參加試驗(yàn)的學(xué)生商務(wù)英語(yǔ)考試一級(jí)試題的成績(jī)以及商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作前測(cè)、后測(cè)的成績(jī)以及通過(guò)調(diào)查問(wèn)卷和訪談收集到的數(shù)據(jù)。研究者利用SPSS16.0 對(duì)這些數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行了定量統(tǒng)計(jì)分析,以了解基于協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)的電子郵件教學(xué)是否能有效提高學(xué)生的商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作能力,以及學(xué)生對(duì)基于協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)的電子郵件教學(xué)的態(tài)度。 4 結(jié)果與討論
本研究結(jié)果表明,經(jīng)過(guò)12周的教學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn),相對(duì)于傳統(tǒng)課堂中的獨(dú)立寫(xiě)作,寫(xiě)完直接交由教師批改,再發(fā)回修改的垂直過(guò)程,使用電子郵件進(jìn)行商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作的協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)的教學(xué)模式的學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)成效上有更好的表現(xiàn)。這主要是因?yàn)椋瑐鹘y(tǒng)的商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)通常只看重寫(xiě)作結(jié)果,寫(xiě)作本身只是交給教師批改的作業(yè),這種教學(xué)模式忽略了寫(xiě)作是一個(gè)互動(dòng)的、交際的、認(rèn)知的社會(huì)過(guò)程,脫離真實(shí)的交際需求, 缺乏真實(shí)的讀者和真實(shí)的任務(wù)激勵(lì)學(xué)生積極參與互動(dòng),學(xué)生的寫(xiě)作欲望和寫(xiě)作動(dòng)力也就得不到激發(fā)。而使用電子郵件進(jìn)行協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)的過(guò)程中,學(xué)生參與小組活動(dòng),從最初的小組成員交流意見(jiàn),產(chǎn)生想法到作文互評(píng),再到最終定稿,這種小組互動(dòng)和協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)使學(xué)生取代了教師成為教學(xué)活動(dòng)的主體,他們?cè)谛〗M中就商務(wù)寫(xiě)作任務(wù)進(jìn)行溝通,共同推進(jìn)討論并協(xié)同完成文章的寫(xiě)作,此外多人同時(shí)對(duì)文章進(jìn)行評(píng)改不僅有助于形成良好的協(xié)作學(xué)習(xí)氛圍,而且可以提高寫(xiě)作的效率和質(zhì)量。學(xué)生之間通過(guò)電子郵件建立非實(shí)時(shí)互動(dòng)關(guān)系,這種互動(dòng)環(huán)境的構(gòu)建有助于彌補(bǔ)課堂互動(dòng)不足的缺陷,同時(shí)與其他同學(xué)的作文互評(píng)培養(yǎng)了自己在寫(xiě)作中的讀者意識(shí),及時(shí)吸取他人的優(yōu)點(diǎn)(朱銘,20xx)。這種互評(píng)同時(shí)也是一種真實(shí)讀者的溝通,寫(xiě)作從而成為一種為真實(shí)讀者而寫(xiě)的活動(dòng),這種溝通給學(xué)生提供了真實(shí)的商務(wù)交際環(huán)境,滿足了學(xué)生使用英語(yǔ)進(jìn)行真實(shí)交際的學(xué)習(xí)需求,進(jìn)而刺激了他們的寫(xiě)作欲望。與此同時(shí),在這個(gè)過(guò)程中教師通過(guò)接收小組成員互評(píng)的評(píng)價(jià)稿副本(CC) ,可以對(duì)學(xué)生整個(gè)寫(xiě)作過(guò)程進(jìn)行監(jiān)管。對(duì)學(xué)生的評(píng)分不僅要看最終作品,同時(shí)也要看學(xué)生的寫(xiě)作過(guò)程以及他們?nèi)绾巫駨闹噶睿≧oberts,20xx)。而學(xué)生用電子郵件將他們的作品發(fā)送給老師,這無(wú)疑會(huì)提高其學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的積極性(王慧莉等,20xx)。
其次,從問(wèn)卷調(diào)查和隨機(jī)訪談的結(jié)果可知,使用電子郵件進(jìn)行寫(xiě)作的協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)過(guò)程中,同伴之間的討論和作文互評(píng)增加了學(xué)生自我反省的機(jī)會(huì),對(duì)學(xué)生英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作動(dòng)機(jī)有正面影響。此結(jié)果與國(guó)內(nèi)外很多研究發(fā)現(xiàn)是一致的,例如因?yàn)橥榛ピu(píng)討論交流的過(guò)程使學(xué)生由被動(dòng)接受知識(shí)轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)橹鲃?dòng)學(xué)習(xí),因而增加了學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí)(如郭映紅,20xx;Miao et al.,20xx)以及自我反省的能力,提高了學(xué)生溝通和批判思維(Mendon a & Johnson,1994)。而在寫(xiě)作過(guò)程中培養(yǎng)學(xué)生自我反省與批判能力作為一種高階思維運(yùn)作至關(guān)重要,正如Vygotsky強(qiáng)調(diào),外語(yǔ)的學(xué)習(xí)能激發(fā)高階思維的發(fā)展,但學(xué)習(xí)不等于發(fā)展,唯有轉(zhuǎn)化高階思維的學(xué)習(xí)活動(dòng),才能真正讓發(fā)展成為可能(Vygotsky,1981)。
再次,學(xué)生普遍認(rèn)為電子郵件溝通縮短了教師與學(xué)生的距離,是師生之間溝通的有效通道。這種通過(guò)電子郵件創(chuàng)造的“接觸地帶”可以促進(jìn)師生之間形成一種積極的、生產(chǎn)性的關(guān)系(Doherty & Mayer,20xx),而這樣的師生關(guān)系又可以促進(jìn)學(xué)生對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)的投入(Doddington, Flutter & Rudduck,1999) ,從而提高學(xué)習(xí)效果。電子郵件的運(yùn)用使教師與學(xué)生之間的交流延伸到課堂之外,師生間通過(guò)電子郵件建立的非實(shí)時(shí)互動(dòng)關(guān)系可使其隨時(shí)進(jìn)行溝通互動(dòng),便于建立融洽的師生關(guān)系,這種及時(shí)交流不僅有序地構(gòu)建了學(xué)生的寫(xiě)作能力,而且為學(xué)生提供了真實(shí)的實(shí)踐任務(wù),使他們?cè)谑褂弥胁粩喟l(fā)現(xiàn)問(wèn)題、解決問(wèn)題、提高英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)用能力(李淑靜,20xx)。
5結(jié)語(yǔ)
基于協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)的電子郵件教學(xué)融入商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)中是一種可行且有效的模式。利用電子郵件進(jìn)行寫(xiě)作的協(xié)同學(xué)習(xí)過(guò)程能夠有效地把培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的寫(xiě)作能力延伸到課堂之外,從而營(yíng)造一個(gè)超越課堂教學(xué)時(shí)空的學(xué)習(xí)真實(shí)情境,這在一定程度上有助于提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作能力。該教學(xué)模式在商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教學(xué)中具有廣泛的應(yīng)用前景。
