重音的發(fā)音規(guī)則和方法
句子重音的功能：
a.體現(xiàn)句子的節(jié)奏感和韻律感;
b.突出重點(diǎn),使聽者更容易理解。
一般方法：
a.在句子中需重讀的詞為實(shí)詞，比如，名詞、動詞、形容詞、副詞、數(shù)詞、代詞等;
b.不重讀的多為虛詞,比如,冠詞、連詞、介詞、感嘆詞等;
c.be動詞及助動詞和not結(jié)合表否定時(shí)需重讀。
新信息原則
在答語或語段中，再次出現(xiàn)的不含有新信息的實(shí)義詞，通常不重讀;表示新信息的詞要重讀。
Eg. How many students are there in the classroom?——There are fifty students in the classroom.
強(qiáng)化性原則
為了強(qiáng)調(diào)某詞，無論是實(shí)詞還是虛詞，均須重讀。
Eg. What does he like best?——He likes to play basketball best, like her.

‘Terrible isn't it? I know that about two thirds of Botswana is desert, but I also know it has a great natural resource, diamonds, so it's a relatively wealthy country and it only has a small population. · They have quite a low standard of living.

· They've got plenty of clean, fresh air.
· I've also heard that it has a good system of government.

· On the whole, they are quite well-educated.
· I've heard they're very friendly, too.
