小年的風(fēng)俗 Off-year customs
小年除了祭灶儀式外，前前后后還有許多風(fēng)俗。如掃塵、貼對(duì)聯(lián)、剪窗花、洗浴婚嫁等�？梢哉f(shuō)“小年”是“大年”春節(jié)的序曲，在民間人們把這段時(shí)間稱(chēng)之為“迎春日”。
掃塵 Spring Dust
為了迎接灶王爺，人們清除灶灰、掃墻，俗稱(chēng)“掃塵”。按民間的說(shuō)法：“塵”與“陳”諧音，掃塵有“除陳布新”的含義，其用意是要把一切“窮運(yùn)”、“晦氣”統(tǒng)統(tǒng)掃地出門(mén)。這一習(xí)俗寄托著人們破舊立新的愿望和辭舊迎新的祈求。因此，到處洋溢著歡歡喜喜搞衛(wèi)生、干干凈凈迎新春的氣氛。
貼“灶王爺”像 Stick the picture of The kitchen god
小年前夕，大街小巷的雜貨鋪、百貨攤都代賣(mài)“灶王爺”像。這種木版水印的神像，大多來(lái)自“版畫(huà)之鄉(xiāng)”——天津楊柳青。那和藹、肅穆、善靜的灶王爺盛裝端坐，給人以一家之主的感覺(jué)。人們都要“請(qǐng)”回來(lái)一幀新的灶王爺像(不能說(shuō)“買(mǎi)”)，來(lái)代替陳舊不堪的灶王爺像。
寫(xiě)對(duì)聯(lián) Write couplets
家家戶(hù)戶(hù)都開(kāi)始寫(xiě)對(duì)聯(lián)。神靈前的對(duì)聯(lián)特別講究，多為敬仰和祈福之言。佛龕神像的兩側(cè)要貼上一副對(duì)聯(lián)，上聯(lián)寫(xiě)“上天言好事”，下聯(lián)寫(xiě)“下界保平安”或“回宮降吉祥”，橫幅是“一家之主”。因?yàn)榫o靠春節(jié)春聯(lián)也一并寫(xiě)成。民間講究有神必貼，每門(mén)必貼。內(nèi)容豐富，妙語(yǔ)聯(lián)珠。
剪窗花 Cut window
所有準(zhǔn)備工作中，剪貼窗花是最盛行的民俗活動(dòng)。內(nèi)容有各種動(dòng)物、植物等，如喜鵲登梅，燕穿桃柳，孔雀戲牡丹 ，獅子滾繡球 ，三羊開(kāi)泰，二龍戲珠，蓮年有魚(yú)，鴛鴦戲水等。
洗浴理發(fā) Bath and hair
大人、小孩都要洗浴理發(fā)。民間有“有錢(qián)沒(méi)錢(qián)，剃頭過(guò)年”的說(shuō)法
舉辦婚事 Marriage held
過(guò)了二十三，民間認(rèn)為諸神上了天，百無(wú)禁忌。娶媳婦不用擇日子，稱(chēng)為趕亂婚。直至年底，舉行結(jié)婚典禮的特別多。
經(jīng)過(guò)小年的掃塵，處處煥然一新。新貼的春聯(lián)，抬頭見(jiàn)喜。活靈活現(xiàn)的門(mén)神，保佑著平安。精美的窗花、五彩的年畫(huà)和花團(tuán)錦簇的燈籠，無(wú)不顯示著小年之后，人們喜氣洋洋開(kāi)始迎接除夕過(guò)大年了。
