To whom it may concern,
I am writing to you to apply for a student loan. As a freshman from the English Department, I have much financial difficulty in continuing my study.
There are five members in my family. My father is the only breadwinner of the whole family while my mother was laid off two years ago. My grandmother has been suffering a chronic illness for more than five years. My younger brother is now studying in a high school. I took part-time jobs during the summer vacation, but what I have earned is far from enough for me to pay the required tuition fees. In order to continue my study, I have to apply for a student loan.
If my request is granted, I will make good use of the money and put my heart into study. I will definitely pay back the loan according to the requirements. I hope that you will consider my application.

在上初中之前，我一直都認(rèn)為英語(yǔ)就是由ABC……這26個(gè)字母組成的單詞連成的句子，比我們的國(guó)語(yǔ)中文學(xué)起來(lái)要簡(jiǎn)單很多，知道它也有語(yǔ)法，也有語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)，卻從來(lái)不知道英語(yǔ)并沒(méi)有我想象的那么枯燥，它和人類一樣擁有著生命力
在初一那年暑假，英語(yǔ)老師為了讓我們的假期更加有趣充實(shí)一點(diǎn)，便建議我們每個(gè)星期看一部英文電影，這對(duì)于我真的是一個(gè)極大的誘惑。在剛開(kāi)始看的那幾天，我只是單單看個(gè)電影情節(jié)，過(guò)了兩三個(gè)星期后，我發(fā)現(xiàn)電影中的演員們所說(shuō)的話語(yǔ)配上有趣滑稽的面部表情，顯得惟妙惟肖。我深受感染，有時(shí)看得入迷，嘴里還會(huì)跟著念叨幾句，語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)跟上了心里還會(huì)頗有一點(diǎn)成就感。
我的英語(yǔ)家教老師覺(jué)得我口語(yǔ)進(jìn)步了很多，有的單詞沒(méi)學(xué)也會(huì)（雖然不認(rèn)識(shí)單詞，但單詞的讀音在電影里聽(tīng)過(guò)，便記住了），老師問(wèn)我最近在學(xué)口語(yǔ)嗎，我便老實(shí)告訴她看英語(yǔ)電影的是。后來(lái)，老師又建議我去聽(tīng)一些國(guó)外的'英文歌曲，也有助于我提升口語(yǔ)，我當(dāng)然十分樂(lè)意的接受了這個(gè)好意見(jiàn)。
后來(lái)我媽給我買了一個(gè)mp4，歌不多，只有64首，但全都是英文歌，我每天都要聽(tīng)上一個(gè)小時(shí)，要求自己不管知不知道歌詞的意思，也要把全部歌都學(xué)會(huì)。問(wèn)我原因，其實(shí)也沒(méi)什么，只是打心底里喜歡罷了。
我喜歡英語(yǔ)，并不是為了追求時(shí)尚，而是正真的喜歡它的風(fēng)格，喜歡他的每一個(gè)字母，每一個(gè)單詞，在他的字里行間中處處都散發(fā)著生命的氣息，令我陶醉。
