The Spring Festival is a traditional festival for all Chinese people; on that evening there is a very traditional ceremony----Spring Festival Gala,which is the favorite for many people.It brings so much happiness to Chinese all around the world in the past twenty years.When asked about their opinion on Spring Festival Gala,people always reason differently.Some people deem that it should be cancelled,while there are also other people who argue that it should be continued.Some people take it for granted that the Gala should not exist because it is too boring on the evening of the Lunar New Year.Besides,the form of the Evening seems the same every year.In comparison,there are,however,a large number of people who hold a different view concerning this issue,they maintain that the Gala must be continued.They argue that it is one of the most important celebration customs.And they think the Gala is worth expecting.As far as I am concerned,I am intending to stand on the side of the latter group of people.Admittedly,the former point of view seems reasonable,but the latter is more persuasive.Taking the above-mentioned factors into consideration,I can safely conclude that the Gala just needs a reform in the future but to be cancelled.

老北京的春節(jié)廟會(huì)
春節(jié)，俗稱過年，除一般年俗外，廟會(huì)則為舊時(shí)北京過年的主要習(xí)俗。除了人們所熟悉的廠甸之外，五顯財(cái)神廟(初二至十六)、東岳廟(初一至十五)、白云觀(初一至十九)都是有名的廟會(huì)，最富有北京過年的特色。
五顯財(cái)神廟的正式活動(dòng)從正月初二算起。初二一大清早，往財(cái)神廟進(jìn)香者，除巨富顯貴外，絕大多數(shù)是騎自行車。他們多身著各種綢緞的棉袍，外罩馬褂或坎肩，頭戴細(xì)氈禮帽。香客們從城里出發(fā)出廣安門向南，當(dāng)然基本順風(fēng)，(因北京冬季多西北)。但一出廣安門就須逆風(fēng)而行了。
紙魚，用一根竹劈兒綴上白線拴好，以便手提;還有成串的、泥胎、外糊金銀箔的金銀元寶，也拴在竹劈兒上。另外還有一種卜碌碌帶響的風(fēng)車。這種風(fēng)車系用細(xì)篾兒和彩紙條兒糊成風(fēng)輪，安裝在秫秸架子上，每個(gè)風(fēng)輪帶有白線拴好的一對小鼓腿兒，敲打著一個(gè)泥塑蒙紙面的小鼓，大風(fēng)一刮，卜碌碌直響。
這種風(fēng)車有單一的，有四個(gè)以至十幾個(gè)連在一起的。傍晚，太陽平西的時(shí)候，你只要仁立街頭，就能見到一輛接一輛的自行車形成了湍急的車流。
東北年俗
東北人過年講究熱鬧、喜慶，年俗也就特別多。

過年吃餃子是北方人的習(xí)俗，東北民間在除夕有守歲的習(xí)慣。大年三十晚上辭舊迎新，一定要吃餃子，在眾多的'餃子中只包上幾只帶有硬幣的(現(xiàn)在人們講究衛(wèi)生，就用花生或其他果仁來代替。)，誰吃到了這樣的餃子就預(yù)示著在新的一年里會(huì)交好運(yùn)，有吉祥之意。

陜西年俗
春節(jié)民俗，在全國各地大同小異，陜西民風(fēng)古樸，春節(jié)帶有濃厚的鄉(xiāng)土氣息和地方特色。歲首。古代的“年”不是在臘月二十九或者三十，而是在“臘日”，即后來的“臘八”。南北朝以后才把臘祭移至歲末。到了民國時(shí)，改用陽歷，才把陰歷的“年”叫作“春節(jié)”，因?yàn)榇汗?jié)?般都在“立春”后，因而稱其為春節(jié)。

This worry is fairly unnecessary. Why ? One reason lies that Christmas only affects Christians，college students and joint-venture (合資企業(yè))workers. Anor reason is that Christmas is mostly celebrated in cities. Few people in countryside show extreme interest in this exotic(帶有異國情調(diào)的) festival. By contrast， Spring Festival is most influential traditional festival in every family.
I think，it is natural that with increasing exchanges with West，a lot of Western holidays have been gradually introduced into China. For us Chinese we should never neglect or even discard our own traditional festivals. For centuries Chinese have observed this traditional holiday to welcome beginning of a new year.
